Japanese people believe it essential that everyone feels recognized and part of the company. お疲れ様です expresses the importance of team work in Japan. Very often, internal meetings will end with everyone saying お疲れ様です as a way to thank all the participants.Ĭo-workers will thank each other for the completion of a task or when one of them come back from a meeting outside. You can use the expression in a wide range of situations, so it’s difficult to explain them all. It is also a perfect conversation starter or ending, depending on the situation. In a situation when you would normally say “hi” or “how are you doing” to your colleague, replace it by お疲れ様です. The expression is proper when you arrive at work after your colleagues. It might sounds strange to repeat it several times a day, every time you see your coworkers but for your colleagues it shows your desire to get closer and to respect Japanese work culture. Yasu formerly had a full head of hair, but shaved it off one day and continued to do so. Ren says that Yasu "always stood back and let have what ever he wanted" to Reira in chapter 53. While he admits to being in love with her, he baits Ren to rekindle their love for each other.

Though he was adopted by the Tagagi couple while still in grade school (at age of 9), they still remained close as brothers. When he was little, both of Yasu's parents were killed in a car accident, and was therefore put into the same orphanage as Ren.
